Birmingham’s Jordan Swing returns to squadron roster

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA - February 11, 2025

Jordan Swing is returning to the Birmingham Squadron. The former Vestavia Hills standout, who played collegiately at UAB and Western Kentucky, was acquired by the Squadron through returning player rights.

Swing will be in his third stint with the Squadron with the most recent, before now, coming in the 2022-23 season. In 44 regular season NBA G League appearances, the Vestavia Hills High School graduate averaged 5.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 16 minutes per game.

Swing’s overseas basketball career has included stops in Australia, Spain, Belgium and Ukraine. He was named an Israeli League All-Star in 2019. The 34-year-old Swing’s most recent stop was with Carplus Fuenlabrada in Spain.

The Squadron (4-12) has home games on Wednesday against the Westchester Knicks (12-7) and Thursday against the Indiana Mad Ants (11-7). Both games tip off at 7 p.m. at Legacy Arena.
