The Birmingham Stallions will begin training camp for the 2025 UFL season on Monday, March 3, in Arlington, Texas. The UFL’s headquarters are in Arlington and will serve as the central hub for all football operations for the 2025 UFL season. Regarding training camp, all eight teams will participate in the DFW Metroplex, with two teams practicing at each of the four locations. The four practice locations around the area are Choctaw Stadium, Pennington Field, Vernon Newsom Stadium and Dragon Stadium. The Stallions and the Arlington Renegades will both be practicing at Choctaw Stadium for the duration of preseason camp.
Head Coach Skip Holtz and his staff have been in Arlington for the entirety of this week, preparing for the arrival of their 2025 squad. In a press release by the Birmingham Stallions, Holtz seemed very optimistic about the entire season being based out of Arlington. “Today is the first day of players reporting to camp, and we are excited to start the 2025 season,” said Birmingham Stallions Head Coach Skip Holtz. “We have 34 returning players and 30 new faces this season. We're looking forward to getting to know the new players and seeing the guys that we have returning from last year as we begin to put together the team that we have for the 2025 season. I'm excited to get this thing started after a long wait to get here!”
Despite losing his Co-Offensive Coordinator a week before coaches were set to report to Arlington for training camp, Holtz still seems highly optimistic about the 2025 version of the Stallions and how much spring football and the UFL have grown over the past year. “What a great league this is. It is a great opportunity given to so many deserving people. You look at the number of players from these eight teams that will make it into an NFL camp, and you know how much of a good second chance this is, and that’s why we play these games.” Holtz mentioned that he believes his team this season is better than a year ago. Still, a resonating quote he mentioned about the entire league shows how much spring football is valued and respected by elite coaches and players nationwide. “I think everyone in this league would tell you that their 50-man roster is more talented than they were a year ago.”
Season and single-game tickets are available for every Stallions game this year. Birmingham will open the season on the road on March 30 against the D.C. Defenders before returning to Protective Stadium in Week 3 to face the Arlington Renegades. Purchase tickets for every game this season here.
